Josh Taylor
Co-founder
Josh leads our growing group of tax technology companies, alongside Nicola, as co-founder of both Tax Traders and Taxi. Josh is New Zealand's leading authority on the application of tax pooling to complex tax positions and the provision of workflow automations to accountants. Josh is the brains behind many of our ground-breaking features and has been instrumental in bringing Taxi to life. Josh believes strongly that the way we do business is as important as the bottom line and he is committed to doing business differently.
Nicola Taylor
Co-founder
Nicola is the co-founder of both Tax Traders and Taxi and leads our growing group of tax technology companies, alongside Josh. Nicola is driven by the pursuit of justice and equity and a deep desire to see business as a force for good in the world. Nicola is responsible for our ground-breaking people practices, our distinctive culture, and the strategic direction of the group. Taxi is the brainchild of Nicola who wanted to increase access to tax pooling after becoming dissatisfied with the lack of access to tax pooling solutions for SMEs in the 2021 Auckland lockdown.
Tim Kirkpatrick, CA
CEO
Tim is the co-CEO of Tax Traders and holds primary responsibility for both our financial and operational functions, as well as overseeing our in-house software development to bring our strategy to life. As part of this role, Tim has been the driving force behind many of our tools including our RIT calculator and our IR data integrated reports. Tim is a Chartered Accountant with substantial experience across a wide variety of industries in New Zealand and the UK. Tim believes that our role is to make the complex simple and solve problems that are yet to be solved and he applies this to his leadership of Tax Traders everyday.

Hamish MacDonald
Client Solutions Expert
Hamish joined the team in 2021 and has been a critical part of our Customer Solutions Chapter since that time. Hamish is available at the end of the phone or via email for all client queries and is an expert in finding and sharing simple solutions for complex problems. Prior to joining Tax Traders, Hamish coordinated a large consumer finance call centre and lead a national network of debt counsellors. Hamish also leads our work with the Cultivate Scholarship and some of our key charitable partner relationships.
Libby O'Toole
Customer Experience Specialist
Libby is an expert in improving user experience and will be ensuring clients enjoy a seamless interaction with Tax Traders. She has experience in customer success for a tech company and understands the importance of putting clients first. Libby also has a background in financial services, including working for KPMG in their Audit and Agri-Food teams. She holds two degrees with majors in accounting, commercial law and employment relations.
Logan Jessop
Client Solutions Expert
Logan has been part of our Client Solutions Team since May 2024 and helps accountants and taxpayers with their enquiries and understanding the nuances of tax pooling. He boasts strong start-up experience, spanning product and strategy roles in AI and web-3 firms. With a customer service background, Logan is passionate about democratising financial tools so everyone can benefit from them.

Josh has been on the team since 2017 and is responsible for working with our clients and our technology to create solutions to their workflow challenges and make their work more joyful. Josh led the establishment of our Client Solutions team and is a key part of this work at Tax Traders. Josh is well-known across accountancy firms in New Zealand, having built key relationships with many of our Tax Traders Advantage clients as well as relationships with national firms. Josh is a tax pooling expert and enjoys solving complex problems for clients.
James Stuart, CA
Client Director
James joined Tax Traders in 2022 after five years of industry experience, working with accounting firms, SMEs and large corporates. James is a Chartered Accountant with a strong tax background having worked for Big 4 accounting firms both here and overseas. James has significant expertise in the technical and legislative detail of tax and tax pooling and really loves working alongside clients to see them flourish and grow.
Jeromy Meerman, CA
Client Success Manager
Jeromy joined Tax Traders in 2019 after a long-standing role as Principal Adviser in Capital Markets Disclosure at the Financial Market Authority. Jeromy sits across both Relationships and Product and is a driving force behind the development of many of our smart tools for accountants. Jeromy is a Chartered Accountant and a certified member of the Institute of Financial Professionals in New Zealand.
Maddy Green, CA
Client Director
Maddy is a strong believer in an equitable and accessible tax system. She joined Tax Traders in 2024, having previously worked in corporate tax at PwC and the internal finance team at Freightways. Maddy works alongside accounting firms to keep them up to date with our technology developments, changes to tax pooling legislation and running training sessions to help them unlock the full benefits Tax Traders has to offer their clients. As a Chartered Accountant, she is particularly skilled at talking through tricky imputation credit scenarios.
Tom Pritchard, CA
Client Director
Tom has been with Tax Traders since July 2024. Based in Christchurch, he focuses on supporting our clients in the South Island to access the full benefits of tax pooling. Tom is a Chartered Accountant and enrolled barrister and solicitor of the New Zealand High Court. He joins Tax Traders following 12 years’ experience in Big 4 tax practice in Wellington and Christchurch at EY, working in several different roles to help clients manage income tax, provisional tax, PAYE, FBT, RWT, NRWT, NRCT and international tax obligations.

Amelia Hooper
Group Head of Marketing
Amelia joined Tax Traders in 2024 and heads our marketing team, where her focus is using technology and communications to create better ways of working. She holds a double degree in Business and Communications with Honours, is currently studying towards a Master's, and is a Justice of the Peace. Amelia brings a strategic, people-focused approach to everything she picks up, and is driven by what business and technology can do together to create positive change.
Brodie Sutton
Group Marketing Manager
Brodie moved to New Zealand from Scotland, having previously worked as a Brand Manager for a venue management company. He joined the Taxi team in January 2024. He took Taxi through its launch, and is now our Group Marketing Manager, covering marketing for both Taxi and Tax Traders. He has a knack for building marketing systems that keep paying off long after they are built, and led the tech-led rebuild of our loyalty programme, The Advantage.
Carla Haugh
People Lead
Carla joined Tax Traders in 2022, bringing her people-centric approach and deep empathy strength to our team as People Lead. She has a passion for wellness in the workplace and for people. Carla’s background sees her always focusing on what brings joy to people and working closely with people is what brings joy to Carla. She has always been in a people support type role where hearing and seeing people was her focus and has certainly brought that with her when joining Tax Traders.
Chloe Kyrke-Smith, CA
Head of Product
Chloe joined Tax Traders in 2026 as our Head of Product. She is a Chartered Accountant who has spent 15 years leading product and customer teams across fast-paced tech companies, much of it building technology for accountants, which makes the intersection of humans and tech her happy place. Chloe's focus is on finding the problem actually worth solving. Here, that is getting money into the hands of New Zealand businesses at the moment they need it, because surviving a hard year usually comes down to timing.
Chris Baker, CA
Finance Automations & Systems Lead
Chris joined Tax Traders in 2026 and works across systems and automation, where his job, as he puts it, is to make other people's jobs spark joy. He is a Chartered Accountant with 10 years' experience in systems and data, and brings both halves of that to his work; he understands the accounting as well as the plumbing underneath it. Chris believes technology can be a force for good, but that it won't be unless we are intentional about it.
Christoph Vojc
Chief Investment Officer
Chris is our Chief Investment Officer. He built his career in banking and investment at Morrison, HSBC and The World Bank Group, working across London, Dubai, Washington DC and New York. At Tax Traders, he leads our pricing and commercial strategy, oversees our capital markets and institutional banking relationships, and runs our corporate non-bank lending products. Chris believes strongly in the power of business to create positive outcomes.
Daniel Bidgood
Group Marketing Specialist
Daniel joined Tax Traders in 2026 as our Group Marketing Specialist, bringing a mix of hands-on execution experience and a data-led way of thinking about customers. Since joining Tax Traders, he has been building campaigns end-to-end, across our CRM and paid social. Daniel has previously marketed professional haircare, launching new products into the New Zealand market, and worked as an insights and data consultant in the grocery and e-commerce space. He likes bringing data and insight into the decisions that shape customer behaviour.
Duncan Rumbold
Principal Software Engineer
Duncan joined Tax Traders in 2020 and leads our Development Chapter. He led the technical build of Taxi and our integration with Inland Revenue's data services. Duncan is a keen advocate for agentic AI and modern development practices across the team. Bringing over 30 years of software engineering experience across a wide range of industries, Duncan holds degrees in both engineering and theology. He believes technology should work the way humans think, not the other way around.
Geraldine Colebourne
Operations Director
Geraldine joined Tax Traders in 2019 and is now our Operations Director, overseeing our Client Solutions and Tax Pooling Operations teams. Between them, these two teams keep the tax pool itself running smoothly day to day. Colleagues know her as the steady hand keeping things on course, whatever is happening around her.
Marco Jiang
Senior Software Developer
Marco joined Tax Traders in 2018 and has spent the years since working on the portal our clients log into every day, including the connections it relies on behind the scenes, from IR's data feeds to the accounting and banking systems our team use. Eight years in, he understands how those pieces talk to each other better than most, which makes him the right person to bring in when something needs building, fixing or made better.

Mel joined Tax Traders in March 2023. She is responsible for the core financial functions of the business, implementing new technology and system automation that creates greater efficiencies. Mel brings 10 years’ experience driving financial performance and operational excellence across a diverse range of industries, having worked with start-ups and supporting established businesses through strategic changes to achieve growth and innovation.
Sam Ahn
Senior Software Developer
Sam joined Tax Traders in 2023 and builds across the stack — backend, frontend and infrastructure — going wherever the team needs him. He brings 19 years' experience across fintech, government, telecommunications and media, including a year at Google: a designer first, then frontend, then backend from 2020 onwards. That decade in design still shapes how Sam thinks about what we build, so he weighs up the person on the other end, not just whether the code works.
Simone Hamilton
Finance & Operations Specialist
Simone joined Tax Traders in 2026 and works in our financial operations team, bringing a fresh look at our processes and where they can be improved, with customer service kept firmly at the top of the list. She brings years of wide-ranging financial experience across KiwiSaver, investments and mortgages, which shapes how she sees tax: as one part of a client's wider financial picture, not something separate from it. Simone has a habit of bringing positivity to stressful moments, and hopes that helps colleagues and clients get through what can otherwise be a tough period.
Sony Pradhan
Senior QA Lead
Sony joined Tax Traders in 2021 and works across quality assurance and business analysis, making sure what we build works the way clients expect. That means catching edge cases in business logic, spotting risks where systems interact, and pushing for clarity before development starts. She brings more than 13 years' experience across international banking, healthcare and fintech, including the NZ COVID Tracer app, and holds the Entry Certificate in Business Analysis.
Tara Daly
Head of People & Culture
Tara joined Tax Traders in 2022, bringing a background in project management and experiential marketing. She now heads our People & Culture team and she is passionate about building a workplace where people can do their best work. Tara is a driving force behind our sustainability initiatives and our B Corp certification, championing business as a force for good.
Tom Stehlik
Chief Information Officer
Tom joined the Tax Traders and Taxi team in January 2024 as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing the information security of our operations. An experienced IT leader with a passion for innovation and secure solution architecture, he has worked with high-growth start-ups like My Food Bag, as well as NZX/ASX-listed companies. Tom oversees our IT governance, cybersecurity framework and accreditation processes, while also driving continuous improvement in our data strategy.
